Payment Withdrawn but not Received

I am new to UpWork and I was wondring why my account says that a payment was withdrawn, but the payment does not appear in my bank account? I signed up for direct deposit. Additionally, my employer paid me two weeks ago, and I still have not received that payment. Is there a 2 week delay on payments? 


Any help would be gratly appreaciated since the ChatBots don't have an answer for me.

Hi Julianne,


I checked and can confirm that a withdrawal you initiated today was just successfully processed on our end. Processing time varies from bank to bank but usually takes between 2 and 5 days. 


You can check your In Review tab and Work In Progress tab in order to confirm the status of your payments. 


Please check the Weekly Billing Cycle article for more information about the schedule to release hourly payments. It takes about 10 days for payments to be processed. The first week is when you log time on an hourly contract, which ends every Sunday. The client then has 5-days to review, and/or, dispute any the hours logged on the Work Diary. If there are no issues with the hours logged, the payment for the contract will then go to a 5-day security period before it becomes available on your account.
