Hi Sol

My invoices are similar to Vanina's, but instead of a fantasy client, I always use Upwork as a client, because the money comes from them.. this is also a recommendation from my accountant:

Pais destino: EEUU
CUIT del pais: 5160000212

ID impositivo: -
Apellido y nombre: Upwork Global Inc.
Direccion: 441 Logue Avenue, Mountain View, CA94043

I do the same thing as Gabriela, just because Upwork can give you a proper certificate of earnings and my client can't. But I use this address instead: 2625 Augustine Dr., Suite 601 Santa Clara, CA 95054

Hi Gabriela, I'm just start working here and planning to make corresponding invoices the same way as you are doing. My only doubt is regarding the payment method, because as far as I know, the only payment method I can use is Wire Transfer.

My understanding is that if I am exporting services, then I'm obligate to liquidate original currency in Argentina (via MULC), meaning that if my invoice is in USD I must receive a USD transfer to my account (then, the BCRA gets the USD and give me pesos, so I never get USD actually). The option "Direct to Local Bank" doesn't transfer USD but transfer pesos, so that option doesn't prevent any potential penalty from AFIP (the same applies for any method that prevents the external currency from getting to the country).

Is my understanding correct?

I hope you can answer my question Smiley Happy

Thanks in advance,

You can make E invoices in pesos. So direct to local bank is legal as well
as paypal and nubi or other payment method. The important thing is to do the

I already do two witdraws to a my Santander Río bank account and works excellent.

The process take 2 business days to me and I get the money with a good exchange rate: $15.5926 ARS/USD for a test of only 50USD. The bank do not charge me any extra fee.

I also use Payonner. This have the advantage to give you a credit card (I use it for some payments), but the withdraw to bank account exchange rate are around 50 cents under the official exchange rate. Also you can go to an ATM and get the money, but since is an foreign card, Banelco charges you 6USD and do not allow extraction of more than $2000.

Regarding accounting, I read something about Factura E. This information is valid for Monotributistas: with this kind of withdraws (Upwork or Payonneer) you don't need Factura E. Just need to create a standard Factura C to "Consumidor Final". AFIP allow create paper Factura C to consumidor final without any amount limit and this is valid for any Monotributo category.

Hope the information helps you.

I wanted to know if anyone has had any success sending a wire transfer to Banco Galicia.

I tried to add my account and I received the following message:

"Thank you for applying for Local Currency Wire. Unfortunately, this bank is not currently supported. Please select another withdrawal option."

I used the 8 digit SWIFT code that belongs to the parent bank. Should I request one assigned to my specific branch or Galicia is still unsupported? Does anyone know what banks are available for wire transfers in Argentina?

Thanks in advance,

Leo S.

Hi Julio!

Thanks a lot for sharing that, I also have Santander Río so It´s great to knowing your experience.

Now that you talk about Factura C, I´m wondering when you do the Direct to local Bank transfer with Upwork, are you putting any names (or social reasons jaja) in the factura? in that case, who? your client or upwork?. Do you make the factura in pesos or dollars?

Again, thanks a lot for your info!
