Payment timeline

Hi.

I would appreciate some advice or clarification. Payment was released today on the final  milestone of a job and I ended the contract after successful completion of the work. On the Get Paid page, the balance is still zero and the Get Paid Now link is not active. Do I still have to wait some time to transfer the money to me?

Hi Robert,

When your client releases a milestone or final payment on a fixed-price job, it immediately shows as pending on your financial account. Pending payments become available for you to withdraw after the standard five-day security period.

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for your reply. Does this mean I have to wait another five days? The contract said that payment was due on January the 28th and the money was released today. I thought the security period was the five days that elapsed since Jan 28, and therefore the money would be available for me to withdraw today.
