Payoneer and Upwork email addresses

Hello. I just created a Payoneer account with another email address that I do not use for Upwork. Is there a problem with this? I ask because for PayPal, it seems a person cannot use a PayPal account with an email address that is different from the one on Upwork. It failed to work for me. And that's why I created the Payoneer account. But again, after it all, it registed my payment method with a username I use on Upwork which had nothing to do with my Payoneer account. So, I'm wondering. Is there any need for me to be worried? Should I reopen a Payoneer account with the Upwork email address and then close the one I've just created? (And by the way, I wish that PayPal issue could be improved too!)

Hi Jonathan,

There shouldn't be an issue with you Payoneer account being registered to a different email address from the email address with which you are registered on Upwork.

I want to know if Upwork is accepting a Payoneer account with the same name but different email addresses. Does that affect my Upwork account if I link it with Payoneer?

Thank you for your inquiry. To help safeguard our users, we require your name to match the name on any bank accounts or payment methods you intend to use. Having a different email address linked to your payment method is completely fine. We will still send notifications to the email address associated with your Upwork account whenever a transaction has been processed. I hope this clarifies.
