Phases when you get less work than usual

Hi fellow professionals!

So I've been kind of going through a phase where I'm getting less responses to my proposals. It's been almost a month. I did get hired to one job with potential ongoing work and got invited to a lucrative job (but sadly it wanted to pay outside Upwork and I had to turn it down)

However, the response rate has been unexpectedly low. I'm top-rated with 97% JSS and 0 negative public feedbacks. I believe I have a decent profile too.

Do you all go through phases like these? What do you do? As much as I don't want this to affect my mindset, it can be little disheartening. Please share your experiences and thoughts.

Thanks for your time!

Hi Anika,

Yes, I believe we all go through such lean phases. When I face any such phase, I try to focus and change the way I write my applications. I write as if the client is reading it loudly. What kind of content they need? Highlight my capabilities in that type of content and send a related sample. Usually it works. Good luck.
