Phone number linked to old account

My phone number is linked to an old account that I have not used in a long time and one that I have never gotten any jobs through. I would like to make a new account now offering a different service but my phone number is needed to do so. I no longer have access to my old account because I've forgotten my username and password but I have no use for it anyway. I would like to use my phone number with this new account. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
