Is a photo necessary to be listed on your website?  I'm disabled and prefer not having a photo online.

To be able to confidently verify your account when requested, users are required to upload a profile photo in their Upwork profile. Without a profile photo, a freelancer will not reach a 100% complete profile and be eligible for Upwork programs and perks.

In this help article, we have also stated that the information on any of the documents you submit should match the information on your Upwork profile. As such, we will need to be able to match the identity documents you will submit for any verification request with the information on your Upwork profile. I kindly request that you please upload a photo on your Upwork profile so that when requested, you can verify your account.

When uploading your photo, please make sure that it is a clear, headshot-style photo of you which is cropped from the top of your head, and just below your shoulders.
