Policy on potential clients suggesting payment outside of Upwork

I am being interviewed for a job by a client who is now asking if I accept payments through channels other than Upwork's Escrow and Paypal. I obviously told them no and that I only work with Upwork's escrow, to which they responded that they "simply wanted to clarify".

The client has a considerable amount of money spent on Upwork and I'm confident they are well aware that the request went against the site's ToS. I haven't heard from them since then, so I guess my turning down 'alternative channels of payment' was a deal-breaker.

Either way, I'd like to know if I'm duty-bound to report the conversation in this particular case. Could an admin please clarify?

Hi George,

Could you please reach out to me via PM (click on my name) with more details and evidence about this so that I can check the details? Thank you.
