Positive reviews = lower job success score?

I used to be a top-rated freelancer with a 100% job success score. I was pretty happy about it.

It fell to 82% after one bad client experience a couple weeks ago. No big deal. I can hop right back on with a couple new clients and be above 90% in no time.

I've secured those clients. I've gotten five-star reviews from both (with a couple sentences of feedback).

And now my job success score is at 75%.

What gives? What can I do to make it better? Just take a few jobs way below my pay grade?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Trying to branch off into travel writing (since I've been traveling all over) and it would be nice to be able to use Upwork to network, but at this point it's reflecting poorly on my skills.

You are offering a "money-back guarantee"?

Every time you do that, your JSS takes a hit.

It also attracts the wrong kind of client.

It's a terrible idea.

Really? I just wanted people to know that I'm confident that I can deliver exactly what they're looking for. I think "terrible idea" might be a bit of an overstatement, but I'll definitely remove it.

Wow, thanks. I did that as a reaction to my lower JSS score.

Good to know.
