Possible to work in different countries

HI, My name is Scarlett from San Franscisco. Hope all is doing ok! I have living in 8years as a graphic designer. I joined in Upwork but I barely use Upwork platform and I have never had any clients here. But I want to try to work for lots of clietns through Upwork. Can I work in other countries not in USA? How can I get paid there from the clients? Actually, I am a Korean, H-1B worker here..can I do freelancing through Upwork? I know it's a little tricky questions..Please advise and tell me some tips to get more jobs and clients here! Thank you!

I am based in the US with a US bank as my payment source and payment receiving account.

I have used Upwork during extensive travels in Peru and Costa Rica without a problem. All payments from Upwork clients went to my US bank, as usual and Upwork never questioned why I was working outside my home country.

I don't know whether Upwork checks your visa status in the country you are working in, but I doubt it and have never been questioned on this.

If you have looked through Upwork's Terms of Services, etc. and find no prohibition against what you want to do, I suggest you use Upwork as you wish from wherever you wish and then let Upwork tell you whether you are raising any red flags. And then comply in full with any action Upwork asks of you.
