I never apply to jobs that don't have a verified payment method.

Didn't realize I was the only one.

William, Lyam, Ramon, Chad,

This post is not about job quotas but activites of job poster (clients).

So stop talking about job quotas

Firsty, my response (perhaps correction) was to an individual's response on your thread. Also, a client's actions ARE completely relevant to job quotas as if a client has no intention to hire (like Ramon B said), it's wasting a freelancer's application.

This is a forum. You didn't ask questions, you just made statements. We, the people of the forum turned your thread into a discussion.

:-D We've been too disruptive!

However, despite this stern admonishment, I shall continue the thread I was deleting all my previous applications today, with the aim of securing as much work before Doomsday, and I noticed that only around 20-25% even hired. A significant number never added a payment method either. I'm interested to know what protection (if any) odesk has put in place against time wasting/fraudulent clients. I'm prepared to pay for the things, but it's a bit of a con if you're paying to apply for jobs that will never exist in the first place.
