Potential Client's Account Unavailable?

I got a response to a proposal from a potential client, but a little bit later there was an entry in the messages indicating that the client's Upwork account was no longer available -- it looked like the client's account has been suspended.  I was wondering where I could go for more information on this client.  Is their account suspended, and if it is, why?  Is there anything I should do?  (Or not do?)  Should I consider this proposal dead?

Chances are it was a potential scam.
