Hi there.. I am new to Upwork and in checking my transaction history, noticed that in addition to the fee I was paid for 1 hour of work, there was also an item called "Invoice for weekly payment" totalling $30 and an associated service fee for Upwork. I have no idea what this is for as the client and I agreed to the 1 hour of work and this "salary" makes no sense.
Is there a way for either the client or myself to reverse this charge of $30 so that the client isn't charged?
Thanks

Hi Michael,
The contract was originally set up by your client and accepted by yourself with the weekly limit for logged hours and a Recurring Weekly Payment.
You should be able to issue a refund for this amount once you receive it.
Thank you!

Thanks.. The client was charged $30 and I only will get $24 due to the upwork commission. Will upwork be issuing the $6 refund from their end as I should only be responsible for $24?

Hi Michael,
Regardless of the type of transaction (hourly payment, fixed-price, recurring weekly payment, bonus, etc.,) when it's refunded, the service fee for it is refunded as well.
Thank you!
