A client made a small payment by MISTAKE. How to process refund without deducting any charge from my account?

You can wait for the security period to pass, which is 7 days, and then refund the amount, in this way you will not have a net gain or loss from your finance account, make sure that you communicate your plans with your client to avoid confusion.
