How many highly experienced Freeelancers have seen their Profile Views in Stats drop precipitouisly in the last few weeks? Mine has gone from 60-70 to 7.

I don't know... I am fairly certain I never really had 164 profile views in a week... anyone else seeing "weird" past numbers?

lol - mine is 6... and that's a lot comparing to the new ones (0 and 1)

Hi All,
We've got a confirmation from our engineers that the issue has been fixed and the data has been restored.
We appreciate your patience while we were getting this addressed. Please, let us know if you have any further questions.

Hello,
Thanks for letting us. But for weeks did we spent connects for nothing? Because I am not sure anyone saw my proposals or profile.
Berke, for the umpteenth time: That graph does not include people who look at your profile from a proposal. It NEVER has. It only shows views from people who find you in searches, and search-results are rotated.

Great, Thanks Val - but just out of interest, is it really likely that I had 164 views (as per screenshot) - I am pretty sure mine were never that high (but I rarely check.)
Not that it really matters, but it does seem odd. 164 compared to in the usual range 10 - in the 20s looks off...

Thanks. May I ask something. I think something is still off, if I got 65 views last week, and my interview % is 100% or close to that... then how come I only got 2 proposals, both of which I rejected due to low quality client profile.

You are mixing two completely different metrics up.
The graph only has to do with profile views which result from searches.
The "interviewed more / less" thing is not "100%" - it is how often you are interviewed compared to others in your category, over time, from everything, that is, proposals and profile discoveries in searches.
So you must not see them as linked.

Petra, Tom and others,
I'd like to clarify why some of you may see higher profile views numbers than you did before. We have enhanced our metrics to more accurately count profile views. In the past, there were areas of the site where you profiles may have been viewed but were not tracked in the profile views metric. For example, now we include profile views from the Invite Freelancers tab the client sees when they view their job posting and search freelancers for that specific job. Also, we used to miss profile views from the sliders/overlays that open when viewing a profile from search and only opening the profile in a separate window counted as a profile view.

Thanks for the explanation. It's nice to know that in the past my profile views were actually higher than the abysmal figures I was seeing. 😑

It does not explain why mine shows as a staggering 164 one week (unrealistically high I think) and then dropped down to "normal" (between 10 and 30) for the subsequent weeks.

Valeria, my views look much healthier today than they did the last couple of weeks, so kudos to the team from me.

No, but other factors, such as seasonal budgeting, might. Or it could be an artifact introduced by the correction, to roll off and never be seen again. If, for example, the oldest period was somehow misdefined or open-ended...it's not like Upwork has no history of erring in this area.

Valeria, thank you for your highly informative explanation. 🙂

Hello,
Greetings!!!
I have been on upwork from more than 2 year but there was a recent update for the clients like Plus memeber or something via which they can opt for Freelancer with more than 90% JSS or lower as a result, Me and my Spouse both are Top Rated freelancer and there is a significant drop in our profile views http://prntscr.com/mxsvpu
I am scared if this is the result of the recent update and we need not to have TOP Rated badge to get more work on upwork?

You are misunderstanding the whole thing...
