Profile visibilty

Hello,
I have set my profile to private but my profile is still visible in the job posts and Client's recent history

Hi Gautam,

Please note that it's by design that freelancers' names appear in the Client Work History just like names of job postings (even if they were private) show on freelancers' work history. That said when others click on the name of the freelancer whose profile is private, they won't be able to view it.

Hello Bojan,
Still confused when my profile is set to private than how can others see it other than clients for which jobs I bid.
This is another client job **edited for Community Guidelines** where my profile is not visible to others, they can't just see my name https://prnt.sc/s3064x
But in this client job **edited for Community Guidelines** the profile is visible to everyone https://prnt.sc/s30c2c

How this can be possible, is there any special reason behind this

Hi Gautam, 

For the first job you have noted, your profile is not linked to the client's feedback for you. The second job you noted is invite-only and is not accessible to anyone.

Hello Avery,

Only those people can see my profile who are invited by the client for that particular job
But I still think this is not right because this https://prnt.sc/s36jce info says only the person who has my profile direct link or client for which I have worked or submitted a proposal can see my profile not other freelancers.

Please correct me if I am wrong or if I am missing something

Hi Gautam,

Yes that is correct. When your profile is set to private only clients to whom you have sent proposals and have your direct link will be able to view your profile. Thank you.
