Hello Upwork Community! I have created my profile as Shopify developer and specialized profile as Social media marketing agent. Now I need to set my specialized profile as my main profile. How can I do that? Looking forward to your support.

Hi Thisara,

If you need to edit the information you have added in your specialized profile, the following will be the same across profile views:

• Educational background, employment history, certifications, other experience, languages, availability
• Portfolio project details (you don’t have to show all projects on specialized profiles, but their titles, attachments, and other details will be the same everywhere they appear)
• Job Success Score

If you edit a shared part of your profile, the changes will show across on all profile views. You also have the option to delete or unpublish your specialized profile. Please check this help article for more information.

Hi Thisara, 

You won't be able to delete your general profile.  You're able to repurpose your Specialized profile and also edit the general one to present the skills and expertise you'd like to.

Can I edit skills to another category of general profile?

Hi Thisara,

You can change the specialty by going to the Settings > Profile Settings, scrolling down to the 'Specialized profiles' section, clicking on the three dots (...) next to the specialty, and selecting 'Switch Specialty'.
