Hi Md. Raju,

Project Catalog is where you let clients come to you. When you create a project, it displays as a listing that clients can open to learn more. Clients find you by searching for the skills and services you offer.

When you create a project we will first review it before making it visible to clients. Our review includes making sure your project is complete, looks professional, and doesn’t violate our Terms of Service. Please allow up to five business days for your project to be reviewed.

Thank you,

NOTICE:

We are currently receiving more projects for review than usual. Please allow us longer than usual to review your project.

Hi Arif,

Thank you for reaching out. Please know that the search results are rotated to give all freelancers a fair chance, hence the ranking of projects does not apply. However, if you get enough orders and the clients leave positive feedback, that attracts more clients to order from you.

Also, it is worth considering that the number of orders depends on the client's demands. It is still recommended to submit proposals to job posts to get a chance of getting clients.

Hi there,

I am experiencing the same problem. When I submit a new project, does it take 5 days every time? Or is it just the first time?

Thanks a lot

Hi Md,

Project ranking depends on the search query, talent quality, and the relevancy of the project. I recommend that you check these articles here and here for more information on how to improve your Project Catalog product description.

Hi Jawad,

Thank you for your message. I have checked your account and It looks like you recently submitted three Projects which are currently Under Review. Please note that Project Catalog is where you let clients come to you. When you create a project and got approved, it displays as a listing that clients can open to learn more. I have two Project Catalogs in my Upwork Profile. But I haven't got any jobs from the project catalog. No message no order. Now, what should I do to get the first order from the project catalog?

Thank you so much!

If you aren't getting orders, why not simply stop wasting your time with it?

I have never used project catalogs. And I can earn as much money as I want to earn through regular contracts with clients.

Hi Yasin,

Thanks for your question. You’ll want to make sure your project is attractive to clients and catches their eye. Here are some best practices to create a professional project:

  • Highlight your project in simple, jargon-free language.
  • Choose professional images that speak to your work. (Don’t have great images of your work? Check out websites like www.unsplash.com that offer free, high-quality images you can use. Be sure to make sure you have permission to use.)
  • Proofread your work so there are no typos.
  • Don’t use click bait, text-heavy graphics, or the Upwork logo/badge.

Thank you,

Pradeep

I've created multiple projects now, none of which have been approved of yet. They've been in the pending approval section for over the normal amount of days it says to be expected. There's no activity on my account & im unsure how to go foward from here. My account has been verified & I have my profile & portfolio set up, what do I do? I've tried contacting support but no one answers and no one has responded to my email. Why?
