Re: Project Paused

Question for the veterans here:  What does it mean, typically, when a client "pauses" a project versus ending it?

Had a project with a great working relationship, but we got the task done; was expecting it to end.  It sat idle for three weeks, now the client "paused" it.  I'm just wondering what that usually means, versus the other choice which is probably to click on "end" contract?

Since it is paused, can I ask the client for feedback, or give feedback on the client?

I am relatively new to Upwork and haven't encountered this one before.   TIA!

Steve, it probably means it automatically paused (after 30 days of inactivity?)

It's a safety feature which is meant to prevent clients having open contracts that are inactive, and not needing to use Upwork, and noticing quite by accident a year later that their freelancer has cheerfully logged hours for weeks or even months doing heaven knows what.

All the client has to do is press "Resume" next to the contract to make the contract active again.
