Proposal default hourly rate doesn't match profile rate

Hello freelancers,

If you have recently changed your profile hourly rate you may find the default rate in Proposals has not been updated to match. Perhaps this was missed by the developers. Workaround is to manually enter the new rate for each Proposal.

Cheers,

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn,

I see that you have a couple of Specialized profiles and the hourly rate set on them differs from the rate on your general profile. Did you mean to have it set this way? To update it, you can go to Find Work> Profile, then click on your Specialized profiles and edit the rate on each of them individually.

Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for the tip! I was unable to replicate your issue though, so please try accessing your account through a different browser, or clearing your cookies to see if it persists. The sytem may take some time to update other sections of your profile which is possibly the case, but if it persists for you even after 24-hours, you can come back here, and our team will assist you further.

Thanks, Avery. Unfortunately clearing cookies and a different browser (I use firefox, tried Chrome) but problem persists.

Not a huge deal, but I always appreciate how well the Upwork platform works 🙂

Best,

Kathryn

Hi Avery,

I was not aware that the additional profiles each had separate rates. This resolves the problem.

I appreciate your assistance, thank you!

Best,

Kathryn
