Hi, im new on upwork. But im confused how things works here, i saw a new job with no invites yet, so i wrote my proposal and submits. So i went back to check the number of invites in the job and it still shows zero even after sending my proposal, i don't understand please enlighten me.

Hello Adejare,

The number of invites sent on the job shows the number of Freelancers invited by the clients to apply on that job and it does not include the proposals sent by Freelancers. You can see the number of proposals received on the job in Proposals under activity on this job section.
