Proposals are not getting archived

Hello

Of late( since April to be exact) I am finding that proposals are not getting archived even after the jobs are awarded to another freelancer, and those jobs are seen as completed. Can you please let me know if anything has to be done from my end to archive the proposals( I know 'withdraw proposal' option is there to archive the proposal, but does using that option affect my ratings?). The issue is leading to a pile up of proposals.

Thanks in advance

Sincerely

Prakash

Withdrawing your proposal has no impact on your JSS.

Thanks Scott for providing the info.

Earlier I have seen that the proposals used to be archived, as and when the freelancers are hired/ client closed the project/ client declined the proposal/cancelled by upwork, quite frequently. As mentioned in my earlier post, since April, the proposals are not getting archived leading to a situation where updation on the status of the proposal is getting delayed. Certain submitted proposals that I had done in first week of April, and where there is no client activity for those projects, are still not archived. I am hesitant to archive those proposals as I expect  refund of connects from some proposals.

Just withdraw them or ignore them. Or leave them, how does it matter?

Checking if anyone else have noticed it. Ultimately, need as much free connects as can be available!!!!

Hi Lakshmanan,

To clarify, proposals will only be archived if a job post is expired, closed and if declined by the client.

Connects would be returned under the following circumstances:

  • If a project is canceled by the client without making a hire, the Connects used on that proposal will be returned to you for reuse. This does not apply to expired job posts.
  • If a job post has been removed by Upwork for a Terms of Service violation, the Connects used on that proposal will be returned for you to reuse.

Note: Withdrawing your proposal will not return your Connects.
