Re: From the Trust and Safety Team: How to Spot a Scam

Hi Team,

Sorry to inform that I am quite new as a freelancer. FYI I have already completed a project on upwork with the company name *Mogul* and my project is successfully approved and completed, however the client is playing and not paying me. Seeking my personal and confidential details, Seems this is scam.

The project manager name is **Edited for Community Guidelines**.

Looking urgent help and support as how can I start work securely.

Regards,

Sushama

Did you have a contract on Upwork? Because none appear on your profile.
You can tell us what work you have done, how you have communicated with the client, how you have delivered the work.
This way we can help you more.

A contract only appears after the (first) payment. But in this case, it sounds like the typical scam for sure.

Just as a side note, I guess that the "typist" category is one of the most scammed on Upwork. Please keep in mind that you could be in danger also in the future.
