Re-open Contract for additional milestones.

Hi There,

So I have a client who had 2 milestones for me and ended up paying out hte first milestone but closed the contract on accident. Is there a way to re-open the contract so the other milestone can be paid out or are we stuck going through them re-hiring me for the other milestone?

Hello Noah,

Unfortunately, all closed contracts cannot be reopened. However, clients can give a bonus. Please see instructions below.

1) Go to Jobs

2.) Select All Contracts

3.) Then select the three dots found on the right side.

4.) Choose Give Bonus

Thanks you.Untitled.png

There is no way to reopen a contract.

He can pay you using the Pay Bonus tool even if the contract is closed.

Or he can create a new contract.

Thanks Preston, I relay'd that to the customer. Thanks for the quick reply!

If he closed the contract by accident, he shoulnd't mind to pay it using the bonus as the other partners have said. you just need to make sure to do the "milestone delivery" and make upwork know you did them before they close the contract.

So what you should have done is just to do the delivery of the 1st milestone and then add a note to the second milestone (if it was already delivered) and just wait for the approval of them ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Jose. Unfortunately, the other Milestone hadn't been assigned yet so I think that's where the mixup happen. Thanks for the quick reply!
