Received Immediate Payment: New Procedure?

Last night, I requested payment of all funds in my Upwork account.

 

This morning I was surprised to see the money has already gone into my bank account. This definitely isn't a complaint. Normally if I request on a Tuesday it takes until Friday. When it goes out on the last Wednesday of the month as it is when over $1,000, it takes until the following Monday to clear.

 

I was quite surprised by this. Is this a new faster process for Upwork or an anomaly because of the time of year? I haven't received an email notifying of faster payments.
