Received an Invitation but Job Closed Too Soon

Hello Upwork Community,

It feels amazing to be a part of your platform and really enjoy working on exciting new projects but I want to confess something and would be eager to hear your feedback on this. Today I got a job invitation regarding the skills of my interests and I thought to respond in an appropirate formal manner like typing a complete personalized mail so that it puts good impact on the person who has took his time to invite me.
Couple of hours later  I noticed that the Job is closed but also there was no one hired. What could be the cause for this. I am attaching a screenshot along with my query. Also I wanted to know that if it impacts my Job score or responsiveness if I am unable to respond in job closing time frame? Which is already within 12-24 hours as I am working in day/night shifts as per my client time zones and project needs.
