Record phone call?

I would like to record an audio (not video) phone call, but I want to access the recording for the job details that we will discuss.

And, the client does not have an Upwork account.  This is a co-worker of the person who hired me.

Is this possible?

I would use a third party conference system.  I use one and pay for an account but I know it has a 30 day free trial and I am sure the others do as well.  Recorded meetings are quite nice for requirements.
