I just got a notification that some amount from pending payments has been refunded back to one of my current clients without any prior intimation to me. I do not know what is going on and how some amount can be refunded without my consent.

I checked and it looks like your contract was paused because of an issue with your client's account. Please stop working on this contract immediately, as any work completed during this time is not covered by Upwork’s Payment Protection programs. Get in touch with your client as soon as possible to find out when the contract will resume.
