Refund half amount to client

Hi All,

I have a question regarding situation i am in. I started contract with a client for 20$. I submitted work according to job description. No issue from my side, done as asked.

Problem:
He gave a test project to integrate a feature, which later he can add in his live/production. Because he cannot give production code or access. I completed task and send him test project.
Due to a reason i wanted to charge him only half amount so that he can resolve server issue from any one else.

He funded me 10 and a request to refund 10. I couldn't undersstand what is the problem. How to have only half amount while other half not.

Best Wishes

Suhail

The client was supposed to get $ 5 back but when ending the contract he did not release 5 and ask for $ 5 back.

This can be resolved in one of 2 ways:

  1.  Client sends you a $ 5 bonus on the closed contract, you approve the return of the $ 10 from Escrow - o
  2. You can dispute the request and you and your client tell the dispute mediator that you agreed to $ 5 to be paid and $ 5 to be returned.

Sohail,

I didn't get a word out of your message.
It is unclear what you are asking here.
