Refund to Client, SHOCKING!

After working 22 hours for a client, I got a notification that Upwork is refunding the Client. I don't really understand why?

Because the client didn't pay for the hours and your work diary didn't qualify for payment protections. maybe you didn't use the tracker or you didn't have meaningful work memos or poor activity levels.

 

It is not a real refund. The client never paid in the first place.

Unfortunately, when the client fails to pay for hours logged by the freelancer, any hours that aren't covered by Upwork Hourly Protection may be reversed. Our team will also reach out to you directly via email with more information about this case.
