Refund to Client

My project with **Edited for Community Guidelines**has been cancelled 2 months before approximately. $40 is in remaining and I want to refund his money. We both checked the Refund option but we are facing the issue. Remember, The money is in the remaining, not in the invoice. Please let me know how can I refund this money.

We don't have a contract now. Our contract has been cancelled. But the funds in Remaining. I want to give back to the client. You can see in following screenshots.
