Refund

I was meant to receive 301,259.2 NGN in my local bank account today from upwork , instead I received 250,000NGN..... what’s going on? Is it Upwork’s fault or my local bank?
Kindly check the files below

You need to pay exchange fees to the bank (that information is in the screeshot you shared) and the exchange rate might not be the one stated in the message.

Hi Ifemayowa,

Unfortunately, the difference in exchange rates is not something Upwork can control. When a bank converts a transaction, they will mark up the interbank rate to buy or sell a currency. Online calculators will not take into consideration the mark up that is applied. Since rates constantly change throughout any given day, the rate you received is the rate offered by our bank at the time your specific transaction was processed.

Thank you!
