Repeat client upwork fee

Client hired me 3rd time in past 3 months.. So that makes her a repeat client.. yet upwork charge me more then 10%.. i was charged around 19-20%.. why was that ? is that a mistake? if yes how do i get it fixed?

I believe that the Upwork fee is based on total dollars spent through Upwork with you, not number of clients. The 20% fee applies to the first $500 in revenue from a single client, and any revenue beyond that from the same client carries a 10% fee.

It does not matter if it is a repeat client or not, all that counts is that you get over USD 500 with one client, be that in 1 contract, or in 10 consecutive ones.
