Replacing Task Codes with Activities increases workload on Client

Replacing Task Codes with Activities in oDesk and making Activities public (!) on contractor boards was a really bad idea. We used Task Codes for invoicing, assigning a new Task Code for each client. This gave us a great easy to read report to use for billing. Activities have no such value. We have had to remove all websites from Activities to stop them being listed on contractor boards. Now we only list the program they work in. This makes us reliant on our contractors to be diligent in entering the domain into the logs every time they use odesk. Why take such a great idea and throw it out the window? What value to anyone to see the Activities on the contractor boards? oDesk has gone downhill since purchasing their competitor Elance.

Interesting comment Mary, and you have me thinking. Can you tell me what you mean by "contractor boards"? It could be a concern for me as well, and that would help me vote on your issue.
