Replacing profile image

Hello Nice to meet you.

I am going to replace my current image with new one on my profile ( because my current one looks old and out of fashion. I think that profile image also takes a important rule for me to get suitable jobs.

I think that my new one is better than current one(You can see it in the attached.

In this regard, what I feel afraid is the fact that I am not sure whether replacing it is a irregular activity or no.

As a developer who is always faithful to the rule on Upwork, I will always keep the rule of the site, rain and shine.

I will be glad if you let me clear the possibility of replacing it.

Sorry for interrupting your time.

Wish you all a good 2019.

Kind regards

Alexander

Hi Alexander,

It is allowed to change the profile photo anytime, as long as new profile photo is a real photo of yourself. If it does raise any flags on our end, the team will reach out to you directly.

Please check if the image you're trying to upload is in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png format and at least 250px by 250px. Also, make sure that it's a clear photo of yourself, not a long shot and your face is clearly visible.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Personal opinion only: I actually prefer the original one, and I believe it is more noticable as it is more focused and your face is clearer. The new one is a bit wishy-washy.

Hi Petra R.

Really thanks for letting me have your opinion.

So, you mean that my new image is not happy to Upwork site, even will give me worst result later?

If it is true, I will use old image again. ( Actually, I  don't want to hurt the rule of site )

But , if your opinion is only focused on something like human character, not the rule of site,

how about allowing me to use current new one? ( To be honest, I like this new one because it looks more more up-to-date in my side. In this regard, what is the meaning about wishy-washy? ).

I will follow your valuable opinion unconditionally , just if my new image is really harmful and dangerous to my account.

I will be glad if you let me clear in this point ,asap.

Wish you all a good 2019.

Alexander

Don't follow my opinion unconditionally. It is just that: An opinion.

Both pictures are acceptable to Upwork. I personally (as a fellow freelancer) think the first one is likely more effective as a marketing tool. You want to have a profile picture that is noticable for the right reasons in a sea of other profiles, and makes you look friendly and approachable.

In my personal opinion the first one does that better. But it is only my opinion and has nothing to do with Upwork.

Wishy washy means it is a bit grey, a bit out of focus, visually the eye goes to the bright space on the bottom right, not to your face like in the first one, and it is not likely to stand out in a long list of profiles.

Hi Petra R.

I respect your opinion and think you are right.

So, I will use old my image again.

But in this regard,  I am not sure if it is also irregular activity for me to change the images twice within one hour.

Please let me know.

Sorry for interrupting your time.
