Hello,

I read the article about the Rising Talent Badge and met all the requirements but still didn't get one. I have had 8 clients and my profile is looking pretty good. Am I doing something wrong or is it a normal thing?

Hello Everyone,

In last weeks, Rising Talent Badge was added to my profile. I even got free connect present for that. However, in couple days the badge was removed without giving any reason. Within that time I was online and applying for jobs. Do you know what could cause that ?

You have a JSS now, so you aren't eligible for the rising talent badge any more.

When I had rising talent badge, I had a JSS 100% in that time. My JSS is decreased today (after approx. one month later the badge was removed.) to 79%.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Christine is correct, you no longer qualify to earn the Rising Talent badge as you already earned a Job Success Score.

While anyone without a Job Success score is eligible to participate in the Rising Talent program, since you already have a success score, we encourage you to work on becoming a Top Rated freelancer. You can learn more about the qualifications to earn a Top Rated badge and its benefits here.

Hey guys!

I have completed 5 jobs & have 2 ongoing jobs from 2 clients. I started to work as a freelancer on Upwork only in mid June. Is this why I am not getting a badge? Also I have overall rating of 4.9 stars. Although I'm working on fixed price basis, one of my client has been giving me multiple projects since he's happy with my work. 

I was wondering what is the exact combo required for JSS or Rising star badge. I have read all the eligibilty creterias. I seem to qualify for all. Kindly suggest. Thank you!

The Rising Talent badge is automatically assigned when a freelancer meets the requirements listed here. Once you qualify for the badge, you will receive a notification letting you know and it will also reflect on your profile.

As for the JSS, please note that not all projects and clients are equal, so the time it takes to get a JSS varies. In order to get a JSS, you need to complete:

• Projects with 2 (or more) different clients
• 4 (or more) different contracts within 24 months

More than 90% of freelancers have a score after 5 projects, and nearly all freelancers have scores after completing 8 projects.

We exclude clients whose freelancers report a history of unreasonable feedback so that their scores won't count against you, but that may mean it takes longer to accumulate enough reviews to receive your initial score.

I ask for help to get a rising talent badge I finished my entire file and got two jobs during the last week and they ended with success and I was rated five stars on time and always followed the terms and policy of the site and did not violate it at any time in the past, so I ask to get a rising talent badge

But my Portfolio, freelancing records and educational profile is strong one. Please, someone give me best practice on how can I maintain my Rising Talent Badge to ascertains excellent results?? My account is 06 years old and I have 79 completed works with 678 hours of work. But I did not get Rising Talent Badge ? What is the process of getting the badge. My Niche is Flyer, Brochure, Mandala Art, Coloring Book Design, Magazine Design.  How can I get Rising Talent Badge  ?

I recently messaged Upwork privately asking about the Rising Talent Badge, the representative mentioned that it is an "Invitation Only" badge.   Here, more than one representative mentions that it is assigned automatically once the criteria are met and that it is replaced with a JSS.  I have neither. Please help me understand which is true for how the Rising Talent Badge is assigned and what criteria I am missing.
