I also have the "rising talent badge", but honestly speaking, this badge doesn't help too much to get a client or land a first job. The only thing that can help you get the job is writing winning proposals that must be seen by clients. Now that freelancers are boosting proposals, you can also boost them to get your first job.

I want to lodge a complaint concerning the rising talent badge that stopped displaying on my profile two weeks ago. I was revamping my profile, so I had to delete all of my portfolios and wanted to update them with the latest ones, but I couldn't do that again that same day. I noticed that the badge wasn't there again the following day, so I updated the portfolios a few days later which made my profile 100% completed again. Since then, I have been expecting the badge to display again but still, it hasn't. Please help me out.

You don't need to apply for one, you will recieve it automatically when you meet all criteria. I got mine within 2 days, I think it takes into account your education, qualifications, work carried out, and a variety of different factors!

I wonder if I still have an opportunity to gain a Raising Talent badge. 3 years ago I tried to work on the platform as a Project Management specialist and as far as I remember, I got a Raising Talent badge at that time. I closed only one contract then and after that, I had a break on the platform for 3 years. Since then, I have changed my specialization and returned to Upwork as a UI/UX and Web Designer. I filled out my profile and portfolio anew for my new specialization, I have been actively sending applications since last week, and I have even done one project already. I think the JSS will show after you have completed 4-8 jobs. You have completed 4, so just keep working. Those badges are pretty worthless anyway.

Please note that not all projects and clients are equal, so the time it takes to get a JSS varies. More than 90% of freelancers have a score after 5 projects, and nearly all freelancers have scores after completing 8 projects.
