The first badge is called 'rising talent.' A rising talent badge highlights some of the best new members in the Upwork marketplace. This is free for freelancers who have great potential based on a strong background in their field and early success with Upwork clients. Rising talent agencies and freelancers have strong backgrounds in their Industries. To become a rising talent, you need to have a 100% completed profile with signs of great experience. Upwork's positive performance includes: Submitting high-quality proposals for jobs. As well as complying with the terms of service.

This is an awesome badge that Upwork introduced for anyone that's on the way to becoming top rated. You can get this rising talent badge before you have a lot of reviews on the platform which can help get the momentum going for you. It's also for those who don't have a job success score built yet. This badge is going to help you stand out from the competition as a freelancer to possibly get hired. When you get that rising talent badge that doesn't mean you can't get all the other badges, but it's a great start. If you look in the section called 'benefits for talent' the badge will show on your profile. You also get reduced fees on featured jobs. There are a few reasons you may lose your Rising Talent badge:

• You earn a Job Success Score (JSS). Once you earn a JSS, you graduate from the Rising Talent badge and can begin working towards earning a Top Rated badge.
• You receive poor public or private feedback from a client. We can’t tell you more about the feedback, like who may have left poor private feedback. Learn more about approaching clients about feedback.
• There is a hold on your account

I checked your account and it looks like you've earned a JSS already. Once you have enough work history on Upwork, we will automatically replace your Rising Talent status with a Job Success Score (JSS). Once you earn a Job Success Score, you can start working toward Top Rated status.

I have a very similar issue. My Rising Talent Status on Upwork was paused because of no activity.

I have returned to Upwork more than a month ago and have been writing proposals regularly since then but my Rising Talent bandge doesn't come back. Am I missing something?

I hope you are doing well. When I read your post, I really feel for myself. I mean a month ago, I received the Rising Talent badge out of a sudden for about 1 week and then it has gone without my notice. After that, during the last 3 weeks, I applied for about 100 posts and none of my proposals got noticed or replied. It really demotivated me, as you have been through this time, would you have any advice for me?

As mentioned in the requirements listed here, you need to be active on Upwork in the past 90 days or joined in the past 30 days. You also need to qualify other requirements to get the Rising Talent badge again on your Upwork profile.

I am following all the rules and regulations of Upwork and I am fulfilling all the criteria to get a rising talent badge. 

I have seen a lot of profiles that have not completed a single job or are not working for a single job but they have rising talent badges. I am working for a client and meeting all the deadlines and I have completed all criteria for the rising talent badge. Yet I am not getting it.

The criteria to get the rising talent badge are:

I am so frustrated now because my badge was suddenly lost for account suspension. I am waited one month still now I can't find the badge after reporting customer care. They review every two weeks later but it will not come back. I am very disappointed because every week I buy more Connect and submit a proposal but I feel very unresponsive and can't wait for a new job. I believe you are aware of why your account was suspended as you have already communicated with our support team. Note that account resumption does not automatically restore your Rising Talent badge as well.
