SCAM

Please beware of this scam. Where a client from Upwork asks you to pay $210 to get started with your work.

When I received the interview schedule, they used a different email address and I didn't realize that this client was from Upwork. FYI, the client is an Upwork Plus client so I thought they're legit. Little did I know that they would just waste my time and effort to get money from me.

Upon seeing a post from Facebook regarding this scam, I messaged the guy that posted it and he was the one who told me that it came from Upwork.

Checking my messages, it's now deleted. Now I'm unsure if they have posted another job and used another name as they cannot be searched anymore.

Hi Divina,

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I checked the job post you were referring to and it seems that it's already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork TOS and action has been taken on the client account. 

Please check out this post for more tips on how to avoid questionable jobs and please use the flag option found on each job post or message anytime you’d like to report a violation.
