SPAM POSTINGS EVERY MINUTE ALL OVER MY FEED FROM PAST 2 DAYS NOW

Hi - at the peak of my frustration, I understand I might sound anxious but I am actually disappointed at the capability of the backend team of Upwork. It's exactly been 2 days, all I see is 'Spam' job postings, with the same Job title, popping up every minute, and at this point I am tired of flagging them continously as they appear even faster than I could look for any genuine job.
I would sincerely appreciate some urgent help, and if anyone else is facing the same issue, please kindly raise your voice.
My niche is Architectural & Engineering and the job posting title is 'Need to convert PDF site plan to AutoCAD

I have never faced this level of spamming posts appearing in my feed ever since I've started working on the platform.

I have also tried deleting and saving back again the important keywords, but of no use.

Thanks

Hi Faran,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I checked the job post you were referring to and it seems that it's already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork TOS. Action has also been taken on the client's account.

I understand the frustration but I'd like to assure you that our Trust & Safety team is aware of the problem and is taking it seriously. They are working to address the issues, including higher than usual volumes of scam posts, constantly changing methods of scam accounts. Feel free to check this post for and update from our Trust & Safety team and their efforts around addressing these issues.

Hi Faran,

Thank you for sharing this with us. I already communicated this with our team.

Annie,

 Here's another one.

The amount of spam postings I am seeing, are countless, and I could keep sharing them with you all day long, but I don't think that's the long-term solution/approach.

I am tired of flagging them, it's not in my interest anymore to waste my time flagging spam postings. I gave my best efforts I would say, and I certainly have jobs to take care of. I would suggest that you help me in a more efficient way possible, otherwise, I would probably have to retreat temporarily from the platform which is definitely not in either of our interests.

Annie,

 Another one.

Spamming the Community Forum is not an alternative nor allowed.

Sophie,

I didn't know spreading awareness on the spam job postings, in our thread here would be considered spamming too. If you say, there are alternative methods, then please enlighten me, because I can't waste my time flagging individual ones, they tend to appear again in a few more minutes. I am only trying to reach out to the moderators so they actually look into this and see how serious this issue has become.

Apologies if my posts has caused you trouble, that's definitely not my intention.
Thanks

I think you have already raised awareness with your original post.

A moderator already answered you.

No trouble.

Annie,

Here are the latest spam postings

This should give you an idea of how they appear. I am helpless! ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn't know those were spam. Well, I expected that some would be. But it's not my niche, so I largely ignore them all anyways.

Jonathan,

I tried ignoring them, however, they just kept flooding my feed, to an extent where I got tired of ignoring them, they have been popping literally every minute, at some instances 30-40 seconds.

Try creating saved searches. Then you can filter by the saved search without having to input. You can use a phrase like

AND NOT "convert PDF"

in your query to filter out those jobs. Caution: too many conditions may cause the saved search filter to not function, like the filter on the right of my list. If I re-enter the parameters into the search function, it works. But the filter on the main feed fails.

This is what they look like on the desktop site:

Thanks for the useful information, I tried doing the exact method prior to your solution, but this filtered out even the genuine jobs, since I primarily also work converting PDF drawings to Architectural softwares, I didn't want to feel left out by not applying to the genuine jobs. The only solution I thought would be to raise my query here, it seems like spam postings have slowed down now, but they're still popping faster than they would probably few days back. I don't know if this has something to do with Upwork's algorithm, but it seems the backend team is not doing much to resolve this, or maybe they are, however, not from my perspective ๐Ÿ™‚
