Scam Jobs

Hi guys - is it just me or Upwork is not a really safe place anymore? Aren't the clients interviewed and curated like the Freelancers? 
I got around 10 scam proposal in the last two weeks, I found clients jobs that viruses in project requirements files etc. When I got onto the platform I was adding indentification after indefication and video intervies, pictures with ID and so on. Isn't the same process for client registration?

It is not just you.

The platform has recently become inundated with repetitive scam job posts.

You are not the only person seeing this.

Clients are not interviewed.

Clients are not curated.
Clients are not vetted.

That is pretty bad  - they should be verified in some way. Maybe not interviewed or vetted as Freelancers but they should be some sort of moderation.
