I think Mykola is right. 😉

Nikola has been transitioning from retiring to retired and back to retiring in a span of two weeks.

Maybe he's a UpworGPT-controlled zombie? We need to be careful. 🙀

Now, if only someone would remove posts when people are called liars and such, as you have experienced.

Hi Jeanne,

Could you please share links to the posts you are referring to? I will be happy to look into it and take appropriate actions.

Due to recent organizational changes, there are fewer moderators than before, so it is possible for something to be unintentionally missed or overlooked. If you notice something, I would appreciate it if you flag it directly in Community or use the Notify Moderator option so we can check.

I did. Repeatedly. Since I can't mention the name here (or can I?) I will send you a private message.

For some reason, the post won't go to your private message. It keeps saying there is an invalid HTML, but I am not adding anything. I will keep trying, but I tried posting here, and I get the same message.

Hi Jeanne,

I am not sure why it is happening, I was not able to replicate it. Could you try and send me a screenshot of the post in a private message? It would greatly help if the URL is visible.

I should be able to find it based on that.

So many anomalies with the site infrastructure recently Jeanne. It's like gremlins got hit with a sprinkler system.

Makes me wonder if problem has been our messages even get through sometimes.

A NEW WAY TO sucking money by upwork

is the title of the thread. You closed it, but left up comments that should have been removed, including saying Prashant and another freelancer were lying. You depend on freelancers answering the forum, and you allow them to be attacked? This happens all the time. I know there are few of you, but do you think we are going to continue to run the forum for you when nothing is done? I don't care what this guy says about me in public, why would I? However, I am angry that it is allowed for the people attacked, and for the freelancers that see this crap, and then come to me privately because they are afraid to post.

This is the same guy I complained about earlier, because he continued to threaten me in private messages, over and over and over. And do you know what set him off on this path? I refused to submit to his demands that I teach him how to freelance and how to write.

I tried and tried, but it won't let me post to you privately.

Thank you, Jeanne.

I was able to locate the thread and will review it. We do not allow personal attacks and will take appropriate actions.

Regarding the private messages you reported. We reached out to the user and warned them about that.

Hi Sein,

Sure, I will be happy to help. I received your private message and will look into it. We work in reduced capacity so it may take time until we check the notifications and posts.

Nikola,

If you're around, please ban this person from the forum. They have been spamming it with stuff about digital token and other credits.

Huong L

They spammed the forum last weekend and it was cleaned up only on Monday.

Yeah Rekha, I saw that too. The forum was flooded. They don't even have an actual Upwork account.

Feedback for Upwork:

Please Upwork employ some human staff trained to better moderate the forums and job posts effectively. It's getting really bad lately with floods of dud posts disrupting the forum and market place, which is devaluing customer experience using Upwork's product.

Upwork CEO/management just fired 21% of the staff. No one cares about the customer experience.

Sein's avatar
Sein M Community Member

Yes Jeanne and the effect is much larger then 21% worse of a problem or 21% less care.

Though I don't agree that "No one cares about the customer experience." , mabye the care is focused a wee bit more on balance sheet economics, just by a tiny tad.

I notified the moderators about those, several times. I'm not sure anyone is around on weekends.

So I guess there aren't enough staff.

Oh my, that's really not on. I hope this resolved appropriately Jeanne.
