Service fee deducting while refunding

Should I Just simply pay what my clients claim.. for example, if my client wants to refund $50 then I'll just pay $50 from my end?

Upwork then will just deduct $40 from my account and they'll add $10 from their end. So the client will get $50. Plz reply to me if it's wrong
