Share contact information to the client

Dear Upwork community‚

I have a two question. Please help.

1. I know it's a violation of Upwork's Terms of Service to share any contact information until a contract has been started. But can freelancers and clients share contact information with each other after a contract has started?

2. If a freelancer and a client communicate outside of Upwork after a contract has started, and the client pays the freelancer only through Upwork, would that be a violation of Upwork's Terms of Service?

Hi Nahid Hasan,

Thank you for reaching out to us. As long as a contract has already started, you and the client can communicate outside Upwork but payments should still be done within the platform.
