Hi All,
I would like to confirm that a job is closed automatically if there is no activity for more than 30 days. The client is notified if a job is about to expire and they can choose to keep it open by updating or editing it. Connects are returned if a job is cancelled either by Upwork or the client. Connects used to apply to a job that expired will not be returned because by the time it expires, it will be a new cycle and freelancers' connects will be refreshed anyways.
Additionally, note that we do conduct clients' performance reviews and the Hire Rate is one of the most important metrics we consider.

I hope you have noted the distinction between canceled and expired in Valeria's note.
I hope i do but could you please explain? Am I missing something?
Expired jobs will be returned most likely in another connects cycle?
Canceled jobs return connects right away?
