Showing offline even if I am logged into my account

Hi,

When I login to my Upwork account, it shows me offline. The icon does not become green in the messages, even if I am online. It is already 2 weeks showing me offline. 

Could you help me, please?

Please log in to your Upwork account and update your status by clicking on the down arrow found on the upper-right corner next to your name and profile picture. A box will appear that will show you the option to do this. Kindly click 'Online'. Let us know if you need further assistance on this. We're here to help.

Hi, I am having the same issue.

But when i login from my laptop, it shows online on "mobile app", when i close the upwork tab on laptop, it shows offline on " mobile app".

 

Why online option only works with laptop/computer?

Please know that your status on the desktop browser will also reflect on your mobile app. Could you please check if you're online via laptop/computer, toggle the online status on and off, and once you confirm that you're online, kindly check your mobile app status? If the online status isn't reflected, please let us know and provide screenshots of both so we can investigate.

Hi Rubaid,

 

When you select that option, a green circle will show next to your picture in Messages and in Freelancer search as long as you're logged in and actively using one of the site's pages.

I am facing same problem. I have selected online then I even cleared all cache and I even used another browser but I am still facing same problem. It still says 'You are currently working offline'.

This error is showing in proposal section. Please have a look at the screenshot.

Why would it? Upgrading to Plus has absolutely nothing to do with showing online.

 

You can choose whether you show online (when you actually are) by clicking on your profile picture on the top right of your profile and then switching the visibility.

That means your profile won't be set to private if you don't earn any money for 2 years or more.
