Chat with Skype is still working it just looks like you are offline. But can't make any calls out. Can call my Skype number but it is going to voicemail.

Issues with Skype status and calling

We have identified the network issue which prevented users from logging in and using Skype today. We're in the process of reconnecting our users, and focused on restoring full service. The issue did not affect Skype for Business users.

I've been able to login and text chat. Not sure about calls yet.

At 6 pm Monday night I saw an updated article on a US East Coast newspaper site, that Skype had finally started to work on the problem.

The stupid thing is that Skype's Heartbeat page had still NOT been updated, and Skype still wasn't working for me. I gave up with it at point and didn't touch Skype again till this morning.

I  can't log in in at all to Skype. That little circle keeps circling. I've given up for today.

Skype is up and running well for me since the last 24 hours or so....

Also, I noticed that you get some really cool emoticons/ emojis now....do check them out
