Small question on Upwork %

Should I end my current fixed time project and start a new one to fix that I exceeded the 500$ and to get a reduction of % I give to Upwork or they will start billing less automatically starting from my next milestone of current project without me closing it ? 

Hope I make sense.

It will start billing the lower rate automatically as soon as the $ 500 in billings is exceeded.
