How do we know that the project are closed or the client has hired person to do the project?

In the job post you can see number of hires.

If the client closes the jobs, it disappears from the jobs list.

In some cases I see client has hired 1 freelancer, but the job still appears in job search. is it just a matter of time of modernization?

If there's no activity on a job post for 30 days it will be closed and your proposal will be archived.

After I attend webinar a journey become freelancer in upwork, I'm just trying to manage my connect usage for that I need to see if this project is running or not.
