Still Waiting for My Payment

My name is Christina and I am a new Upwork freelancer. Earlier this week, I completed my first writing gig on the platform and I was wondering when I will be able to see my first payment go through. I do not know how or when to begin. Thanks.

Hi Christina,

Congratulations on your first contract! You can check on the status of your earnings by going to Reports > Overview. Looks like the funds are Pending right now. When your client releases a milestone or final payment on a fixed-price job, it immediately shows as pending on your financial account. Pending payments become available for you to withdraw after the standard five-day security period.

You can learn more about how you Get Paid for Fixed-Price Contracts here. Once the funds are available you'll be able to withdraw them. You can check out the payment methods available here.
